Why are some women so hostile to pregnant women and mothers? I'm pg with my first and already I've gotten some dirty looks and even an angrily muttered "Breeder!" as I passed this crunchy-looking woman in a restaurant. WTF?

there is definately a backlash against families as sooo many new Yorkers with children have seen it as carte blanche to be a$$holes. Sorry bit its ture. I am an aspiring breeder but I think there are soo many obnoxious parents in this city
[ Reply | Options ]Yeah but I don't even have a kid yet. It's pretty bigoted to hate me because I'm pregnant. It's not like I wave my belly around like a weapon, shoving people out of my way with my bump.
[ Reply | Options ]were you being oblivious? so many people with kids expect everyone else to get out of their way and they take up the sidewalks and expect everyone to accommadate them. did you do anything too selfish?
[ Reply | Options ]np: It's not about you. It's about other people and their issues, whatever they may be. I posted below about how someone berated me in front of my child. I did nothing to bring that on other than be there and be a pregnant mom.

I had a nasty old woman berate me on the sidewalk when I was pg w/ #2 and out walking with #1. She also used the term "breeder," which I thought was funny at the time.
[ Reply | Options ]You probably did something oblivious and rude because I've never heard of anyone saying that to someone who wasn't being a jerk. I'm a mom and I hate pregnant women who feel like they're entitled to not pay attention to the world around them, hard as it is to do.
