  • how did you know your dc had reflux and was more than just typical spitting up?

    • My ped says it's about volume and contancy. We had both but he outgrew it. Not a biggie.

    • imo, reflux is way overdiagnosed. sure, some have it. but every baby (including mine) that I meet these dayd is on something or other. I chose not to medicate and she outgrew it

    • it's treated if db seems to be in pain when eating or spitting up or if weight gain is an issue. my db has it, but does not have any of the more serious symptoms, he just spits up all the time. we are not medicating though.

    • because she couldn't handle more than 3 or 4 oz at a time without throwing up. I'd prop her up to burp and she'd vomit. it was awful, a nightly occurence.
