Chill Factor

You may be new to motherhood, but you've been a city girl for years capable of handling just about anything this metropolis has to throw at you. Breezing in and out of subway stations, maneuvering across packed midtown blocks, bobbing and weaving through SoHo on a Saturday afternoon. Even when your shrinky-dink sidekick arrived, you didn't miss a beat, clipping him into the baby carrier and continuing on your speedy way.

But what happens when the temperature plummets? There's not much slack in those Baby Bjorn leg holes for a bulky snowsuit, and tucking a blanket around him only works until the first stiff January wind blows through. Someone else might bundle up in hubby's giant old coat -- but not you, Ms. fashion PR maven.

So what's a gal to do? How about a thick, cozy cover that snaps easily over the carrier to protect baby from the elements (and keep your stylish pride intact). The Popover, made of a wind- and water-resistant fleece, is a hooded jacket and a sleeping bag in one that's compatible with most strollers and car seats. Available in two sizes and six different colors, it can be machine washed and dried, and comes equipped with fold-over mitten cuffs and a pocket to store extras. As if that weren't enough, it's made in a socially responsible US factory and designed right here in our fair city.

And with your cute one's little head peeking out of a Popover, you're sure to turn everyone else's.
