Pretty in Pink
Not so long ago, Mommy was queen of the East Village, before the speakeasy replaced the dive bar. You used to save the neighborhood for after dark, but now it's time to reclaim your turf, style-wise.
Pink Olive Boutique is the latest E. Vill addition, with more than 50 adorable brands dedicated to "baby, gifts and getaway." Owner Grace Kang channeled her experience as a buyer for Bloomingdale's and Barneys into a closely edited mix of fun flair (dresses, skincare, plush dolls) from kids' labels like Blabla, Minimink, Little Twig and Zid Zid – not to mention giftable items (stationery, vintage jewelry, accessories) from Bonnie's Style Press and Kenneth Jay Lane, and vacation-worthy gear (bikinis and wraps) from Milly Cabana and Malie Kauai.
Things always look better in the daylight.
Open Mon.-Fri. 12-8pm, Sat. 12-7pm. Closed Tuesdays. 439 East 9th St. (between 1st Ave. & Ave. A), 212-780-0036, pinkoliveboutique.com.
