Take a Tumble
Every milestone your baby reaches (sitting up, crawling, that first word) is a cause for cameras and celebration - until they start walking around, and you realize just how easy you used to have it. Your suddenly mobile toddler is one wobble away from serious danger, with sharp corners everywhere, at just about eyeball height.
You can pack up your favorite coffee tables and go without. Or attach pieces of plastic to the edges and hope they stick without ruining your furniture. Maybe make your own with bubble wrap and duct tape? (Now that's a nice look.)
Or you can try an ingenious new option - the Little Tumbler Table Topper. Slap one of these on your tabletop like a fitted sheet, and instantly your deadly coffee table becomes an upholstered ottoman, softly padded, in easy to blend colors. It's win-win: baby is protected from head-on collisions, and your table is protected from scratches, rings and sippy cup seepage. And it comes off as easily as it goes on, for machine washing, or in case you should ever host another adults-only gathering. It's also ideal for grandma's house, or anywhere else you need part-time protection.
Table Toppers come in three standard sizes and color combinations (camel reversed with sage, chocolate or russet). Custom orders can be made in any size and a choice of any two of eight colors (additional hues are black, ivory, yellow and blue). The fit is snug, so little climbers can't pull them off or stretch them out, and the padding is soft enough to encourage you to put your feet up and relax.
Of course, your toddler is still going to find plenty of things to bump into, but at least you can eliminate one potential hazard. After all, "first hospital visit" isn't exactly the milestone you had in mind.
