 Pie in the Sky
There's nothing like pie to bring an area together. Who can resist talking to their neighbors (no matter how loud their parties are) when there's cherry or pecan involved?
Bubby's, the king of pies, hosts its annual Brooklyn Pie Social this Saturday outside its Dumbo location. Bring a homemade pie to share, or just sample the many yummy cobblers, crisps, buckles and grunts that will get Main Street smelling sweet.
Please your pie palate with an assortment of sweet and savory – get ready for anything from duck confit to Gummy Bear pie. Live music and balloons can help kids burn off the sugar rush from Grandma's apple pie.
Bakers may contact Bubby's for an application to add your pie to the festivities, or buy taste-only tickets (funds will benefit three local public schools).
It's easy as pie.
When: Sat., 9/30, 12-3pm; $15 with one pie (includes five tastings), or $25 for five tastings.
