Works Like a Charm
Baby
brain. If you've recently given birth, you probably have it. You're
pouring OJ into your cereal and can't recall your mom's phone number.
It's a wonder you haven't left the baby behind in Starbucks yet.
So how the heck are you supposed to remember which breast junior
last fed from?
For years moms have used little tricks to help keep track of baby's
feeds. But let's face it, the safety pin on your bra strap just
isn't very attractive. The Nursing Bracelet is an innovative new
design created by a Brooklyn mom that works as a wearable reminder.
Its unique wraparound design makes it easy; no messing with tiny
clasps while your baby wriggles in your arms.
Beads are arranged like a 12-hour clock with number beads representing
each hour and glass or semiprecious beads representing 15-minute
intervals. A moveable charm can be placed anywhere on the bracelet
to mark the time of baby's last feed. After nursing on one breast,
simply switch the bracelet to the other side and you'll know where
to start the next feed. The bracelet also works to keep track of
wet diapers, glasses of water drunk in a day, or anything else you
need to count.
Whatever gets you through the haze of early motherhood. Besides,
long after baby is weaned you may still find it useful for remembering
things like number of laps you've ran or when to pick your kid up
from karate. Trust us, that forgetful thing never really goes away.
