Prissy Fit
If you've got a little girl at home, there is a good chance your Halloween short list includes costume candidates like fairy princess, ballerina and ladybug. Or pretty much anything with a tutu. So why not do dress-up right?
Prissy Poofs is the brainchild of a couple of moms (of course) who needed dress-up duds that were substantial enough to be worn out of the house. Seems their girls wanted to wear tutus everywhere they went (sound familiar?). Each Poof is handcrafted from yards and yards of tulle, and finished with trim and details like flowers, pompoms, ribbons and sparkles for a one-of-a-kind fairytale look. Some styles even include accessories like boas, wands, veils and tulle bags. Poofs come in sizes 6 months to 8, and for baby's first dress-up, the smaller Teenypoofs collection fits newborns through 6 months.
If your daughter likes tutus but just isn't the princess type, there are plenty of other options. The Spookypoofs costume collection features everything from bunnies, chicks and kittens to devils and witches. And long after the Halloween candy is finally gone (like, some time in November), the poof can live on as the centerpiece of your child's dress-up collection - if not her daily wardrobe.
It's never too early to teach her the fashion basics: Invest in a few key pieces and wear them with everything.
